The Adventure Makers Club is for adults who want to get outside regularly without needing a big group, a big plan or a big personality.

No awkward icebreakers.

No forced fun.

No pressure to be “hardcore”.

Just a welcoming group, great adventures and a good pub at the end.

The club is mainly for:

•  Single people who want adventure without going alone.
• Couples who want ready made weekends and days out.
• Adults who love the outdoors but want structure and community.
• People who want something deeper than a one off activity booking.

 

You don’t need to be super fit.
 You don’t need experience.
 You just need a bit of curiosity.

(Penguins probably won’t enjoy it.)

How It Works

Membership is £49 per month, giving you access to:

 10 Adventure Makers Club Days per Year

We run a calendar of guided adventures including:

• Mountain walks and classic Lake District days
• Adventure days (ghyll, scrambling, exploration)
• Canoe and kayak journeys
• Skills and confidence-building days

The structure means you’re not constantly paying per session — and you won’t miss out on days you’ve already invested in.

 

What a Club Day Feels Like

A typical club day includes:

• A guided adventure in a small group
• A steady, inclusive pace
• A proper break for lunch
• A relaxed social finish — pub or café reflection
• The kind of tiredness that feels good

Sometimes Florence (Dave’s dog) may join too.

Adventure should feel human.

 

 

Weekends & Bigger Adventures

Some club events will include optional weekends:

• Saturday adventure day
• Group evening meal (optional, not awkward)
• Small Sunday activity or gentle journey

These weekends are where friendships form naturally — without anyone trying too hard.
